Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 24, 2026

1. Overview

Events by Lucia ("we," "us," "our") operates eventsbylucia.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We take your privacy seriously and do not sell your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide through our contact and resource forms, including:

  • Name, email address, and phone number (optional)
  • Event type, event date, and a description of your vision
  • Any other details you choose to share in your inquiry

We also receive standard server logs and site analytics (page visits, browser type, referring URL) from our hosting provider (Vercel). This data is anonymized and used only for site performance monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations
  • Deliver the Wedding Planning Guide and any resources you request
  • Plan and coordinate your event under our signed client agreement
  • Send service-related communications (timelines, vendor updates, payment reminders)
  • Improve our website and the services we offer

We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers that help us operate:

  • Resend — email delivery for inquiries, autoresponders, and resource downloads
  • Vercel — website hosting and serverless form processing
  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate, anonymized traffic analytics (when enabled)
  • Meta Pixel — audience retargeting for Facebook and Instagram (when enabled)

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We share only the minimum information necessary.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our site uses essential cookies required for basic functionality. If analytics or retargeting pixels are enabled, those technologies may set their own cookies to recognize your device across sessions and on third-party platforms. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; essential site functions will continue to work.

6. Data Retention

We retain inquiry information for up to seven (7) years to comply with business-records and tax obligations and to provide reference for future engagements. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us through our contact form.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Opt out of the use of your event imagery in our marketing materials (see Terms of Service)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information: HTTPS encryption in transit, honeypot and timing protections on all forms, and restricted access to submitted data. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Our site is directed at adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For events such as quinceañeras and sweet sixteens, all inquiries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to external resources, vendor websites, or social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — review their policies directly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
